Boundary lines

The dog got into work the other day. He'd been nosing around the door when I wasn't busy, and on Thursday, when I was tired and grumpy, he pushed his way in.

It's always difficult to know what kind of policy one should have regarding boundaries. Should I tell the dog, no absolutely no coming in here, whether that here is work, home, or wherever? It'll get determined to get in, it doesn't like being pushed away. When it gets in, it'll know that your rules don't apply; you can tell it to stay out, but it know's that's just words, not facts. Or do you let it in, and let it make itself at home?

Well, either way it's in now. It gets a little corner of work, and it knows it won't get attention when I'm busy. It's when I'm not busy that's the problem.
